Parish merger rejected

Good news arrived a few days ago when it became clear that in view of overwhelming opposition, WNC had decided not to pursue the merger of Whittlebury and Silverstone parishes, a proposal that had been put forward last March.

122 responses were received to the online survey of which a huge 91% were opposed to the merger, and now this will not be taken forward to the WNC Democracy and Standards Committee meeting on Monday 2nd September 2024.
