MotoGP 2nd August 2024 - 4th August 2024

The MotoGP event takes place next weekend, Friday 2nd August to Sunday 4th August, and attached is the Residents' Information Leaflet published by Silverstone Circuit and outlining the traffic management and parking arrangements for the area.

In Whittlebury, the main routes, Towcester Road and the High Street, will be coned with no waiting restrictions in force from 00.01 on the Friday morning to 23.59 on the Sunday evening. This means that anyone parking on those roads during those times could be issued with a parking charge notice.

However, this is a smaller event than the BGP and the side roads in the village will NOT be coned offering an alternative location for parking for those residents on the main routes who do not have off-road parking. Church Way and the remainder of the Whittlebury to Silverstone road will be closed Saturday and Sunday pm with access for residents available by use of the Residents' Access Pass which was issued to every household for the BGP.

The Circuit has made one of the car parks adjacent to the main entrance a drop off and pick up area for taxis which it is hoped will alleviate the major traffic jams which Whittlebury experienced during the BGP weekend and which were mainly due to taxis..
